It seems the relationship between the collaborative team that brought us Vampyr isn’t quite done yet, as DontNod Entertainment and Focus Home Interactive have renewed their partnership. But the big news from this renewed effort comes from their unannounced title that’s quoted as being “one of the most ambitious in the history of the publisher and the studio.”
The collaborative team seems to be thrilled with the results of their 2018 release in Vampyr, with Focus stating that DontNod has shown them their talents within the game development industry, announcing that Vampyr has sold more than one million copies to date. And the game is set to release on the Switch later this year which will no doubt add to those numbers.
“We are delighted to continue the adventure with the team at DONTNOD who have already amply demonstrated their talents to create rich universes, enhanced by a masterful narrative and unique artistic direction. We are proud to once again allow the talent of the studio to express itself on this new project which is intended to be among the most ambitious in the history of FOCUS and DONTNOD” – Focus Home COO, John Bert
With the success of Vampyr, DontNod’s ongoing episodic releases of Life is Strange 2 and their upcoming Twin Mirror title, there’s also a rumor that DontNod has two other unannounced titles in development. One of these could very well be the new “ambitious” game stated in the press release above.
Stay tuned for more updates on this renewed partnership and what they have cooking behind the curtains.
