E3 2018: New Anthem Cinematic and Gameplay Trailer revealed along with Release Date

During the E3 EA press conference, EA saved the best showcase for the last, revealing to fans a brand-new cinematic trailer for their flagship Bioware game Anthem, during the conference, Bioware confirmed that Anthem will focus on a open world multiplayer with story that ties into the multiplayer experience, it is a share world that all players are meant to experience together.

The game will also let players play the game on single player for those who only want to experience the story and at the same time it will allow players to co-operate with other players in case they need help fulfilling a mission. The game will feature ongoing story developments that will be supported by Bioware’s development team over  the years. EA has also confirmed that the game was designed as a “live service” game and places a heavy emphasis on cooperative, although BioWare assures it will also be playable solo.

Below is the cinematic trailer that was revealed during the press conference:

The game will feature different kinds of Javelins, one of them is called the ranger suit, which will specialize in up close personal combat and area of effect damage while the Interceptor will focus heavier more specialized combat. Other confirmed Javelins include the Stormer which focuses on area based attacks, and Colossus which will be the heavy damage dealer Javelin but also the slowest as well. You’ll be able to customize your Javelins with colors and other forms of customization that you’ll be able to acquire through the game. Bioware also confirmed that cosmetic based micro transactions will appear in the game, not affecting gameplay at all.

The biggest surprise of the show, EA revealed a surprising release date for the game for February 22 2019, so unless they decide to delay further by surprise, we can look forward to get into our javelins and blast through some aliens by February of next year. As you rank up and defeat enemies, you’ll gather gear and complete milestones that unlock amazing personalization options and turn your Javelins into testaments to your ability and achievement.
