The annual reveal of the next Call of Duty title is a bit overdue, but it seems Activision is gearing up for an announcement soon. The publisher behind the coveted annual FPS series has been reportedly showing off the new title to various “partners” which include athletes and streamers, alike.
The tweet from the Call of Duty Twitter page clarifies that these partners were the first to enjoy a private event play test of the new, unannounced Call of Duty title, which leads us to believe we should be seeing a reveal very soon.
While there hasn’t been much news regarding the new title, it has been announced that the next in-line of the franchise will include a single player campaign mode – something that the series took away from last year’s Black Ops 4 title in order to focus on the multiplayer gameplay modes, most notably the battle royale experience, Blackout.
There’s yet to be any confirmation as to when Activision will reveal the next Call of Duty title, but last year’s full detail reveal came in the month of May. So, if last year is anything to go by, we should be hearing something soon, or at least by this year’s E3 event which takes place in June.
Stay tuned for more details as they surface regarding the next Call of duty title.
