Even if Activision doesn’t confirm the development of a new Call of Duty, we all know that every year we are going to get a new entry for the series, and this year isn’t an exception, as the company has shown its upcoming Call of Duty game to some famous Football players and recently revealed that it will be announced before the end of first half of the year.
During a call for Activision’s financial performance in the first quarter of 2019, the publisher officially revealed that the next Call of Duty is developing by Infinity Ward and the game will make its world premiere until the end of June. With this bit of official confirmation, we would probably get tons of information at E3 2019, though the first announcement might take place earlier than the biggest gaming event of the world at Los Angeles.
While we know little things about Infinity Ward’s upcoming first-person shooter game, some rumors are claiming that the next Call of Duty is a sequel to Captain Price’s story and we will get to see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, eight years after its predecessor. However, it’s also possible to get a sequel for Call of Duty: Ghosts that had been released in the early days of current generation.
As far as we know, the next game in the series will feature a strong story mode, along with multiplayer sections, but probably you’re not going to see Zombies mode in the Infinity Ward’s upcoming game.
