A few days ago Activision teased fans by allowing a few of their partners, such as famous athletes and streamers, to try out the latest in the Call of Duty franchise. One of those partners appears to be Tennessee Titans quarterback, Marcus Mariota, who during a Fortnite stream appears to have slipped on what the annual franchise is releasing as this year’s title.
During the event Mariota engaged with a fellow fan of the series as to what their favorite Call of Duty series was, which then lead to him leaking that we should be expecting the next in line to be another Modern Warfare title.
Check out the full Fortnite stream with Mariota below:
To go along with Mariota’s supposed leak came another leak from former Infinity Ward developer, Robert Bowling. A fan’s tweet about the upcoming Call of Duty title lead to Bowling’s response pretty much confirming that we should be seeing a Modern Warfare installment as the next title in the Call of Duty franchise.
While Activision has yet to reveal what the next Call of Duty title should be, it seems almost certain Modern Warfare is next in line. Many are getting ready for an official reveal which could very well happen next month, as last year’s Black Ops 4 was fully revealed during a fan event which took place in May.
Stay tuned for more details on what Activision has planned for the series which we’re expecting should take place rather soon.
