Bandai Namco released a new trailer for their upcoming Souls-like action-RPG, Code Vein. The new trailer shows off a few companions and provides a few details on how the companion feature came to be by the developers.

There’s a few interesting details buried within the trailer, such as the development of the companions having them act with the actual player in mind. Also, the “partner” was looked at as a sense of help or carry a sense of usefulness in the game so the player doesn’t feel burdened by their presence.
We’ll see how similar they might be to the NPC companions found in the popular genre defying Dark Souls titles once code Vein releases. Though, these companions stay with the player throughout the entire game rather than being restricted to specific boss fights like in the Soulsborne games.
Code Vein is set to release on September 27, 2019 for the Ps4, Xbox One and PC.
