A Twitter user named Galaxy666 has shared four leaked pictures of the PlayStation 5’s controller, the Dualsense. In the leaked pictures he shared a close look at the technical specifications of the controller’s batter revealing that Sony opted for a very compact 1560mA battery.
Galaxy666 also shares how the new Dualsense feels compared to the DualShock 4, he suggests that Sony has accomplished the highest levels on comfort and precision.
We design and provide accessories for console manufactures such as SONY and Microsoft, they are both our customers, now we are doing some compatibility testing for #Dualsense5 controller. [Dualsense is]much more pleasant and comfortable than the Dualshock4, you wont be disappointed. the feed back is magical, the triggers inside mechanical structures seems very complex, i think.
The official information from Sony indicates that based on discussion with developers, Dualsense was designed with next-gen features, an example was given, the audio port in the controller offers a much better fidelity when compared to DualShock 4. PS5 and Dualsense allow developers to create immersive experiences that fans will enjoy with haptic feedback and a built-in microphone.
PS5 is also a console designed for content creators, streamers will receive the new Create button, a quick and effective way for players to “create epic gameplay content to share with the world”. That feature has not been revealed as Sony promises more information to be revealed soon.
Galaxy666 does not complain about the size of Dualsense, some players were afraid about the Dualsense slightly increased size, something that has bees addressed by Sony.
The designers were then able to draw the lines of how the exterior of the controller would look and feel, with a challenge of making the controller feel smaller than it really looks. In the end, we changed the angle of the hand triggers and also made some subtle updates to the grip. We also took thoughtful consideration into ways to maintain a strong battery life for DualSense’s rechargeable battery, and to lessen the weight of the controller as much as possible as new features were added.
Interestingly, the new leak came shortly after the Xbox Series S controller leak, more leaks can happen in the following days, stay tuned at Gaming Instincts via Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook for more rumors and leaks.
