After the exciting reveal of Oddworld: Soulstorm during March’s GDC event, developers Oddworld Inhabitants have released the first official game play trailer giving fans a look at the newest entry in the revived series. While the teaser trailer is relatively short and focuses on providing fans with a background of what to expect in the game, the new trailer does show off some pieces of exciting gameplay for the new title.

The remake of series’ sequel, Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus – which initially released over 20 years ago – looks slick with its updated visuals and smooth 2.5D design – though the team behind the title have used the term “2.9D”. The second remake in the series is apart of the planned “quintology” of the original series, giving life back to a series with so much history in gaming.
The official release date for Soulstorm has yet to be announced, but is expected to release in early 2020 on consoles and PC.
