As a leak surfaced earlier this week noting the next three classic NES titles to land on the Switch Online Subscription Service, it appears they were indeed spot on. Subscribers will be able to try their hand at three new NES titles all with online play included.
Check out the announcement trailer from Nintendo below:
Players will be getting their hands on Donkey Kong Jr., VS. Excitebike, and Clu Clu Land starting next week. These three new titles will boost the NES library up to 40 titles – that’s double the amount when the Switch’s Online Service began back in September 2018.
Donkey Kong Jr. continues the success of the original Donkey Kong game as the sequel in the series. Expect the same climbing, jumping and dodging playstyle found in the original Donkey Kong, only this time with more dangers to avoid.
VS. Excitebike takes the classic dirt bike racing experience and offers up split-screen rivalries to the game. Players will also have the option of creating their very own courses from a selection of 20 different track parts. And for those craving the single player experience, there’s plenty of action to be had with new tracks and music.
Clu Clu Land is the classic action puzzle game where players take on the role of the bubble fish, Bubbles. Pass through gold bars appropriately and collect as many as possible in order to come out victorious. Players may also take on the game in two player co-op mode for additional help.
Try all three of these new NES titles out once they release for the Switch Online service next week, May 15, 2019.
