The JRPG Ni No Kuni series will continue to grow as Level-5 president Akihiro Hino confirms a new title is currently in development. While the second main installment in the series released last year, it seems the studio is poised to continue telling whimsical adventures set in the magical universe of Ni No Kuni.
The franchise is expecting its first feature film to hit theaters in Japan at the end of August, and after that fans of the series will have even more to be excited about. Along with the recently announced remaster of Wrath of the White Witch set to arrive this September for the PS4 and PC with a port of the original game for the Switch it seems the studio is expecting a release of the next game in the series sometime after.
Hino also mentioned a Ni No Kuni smartphone app, but restrained from providing any details. Regardless, there’s plenty to be excited about if you’re a fan of the Ni No Kuni series. With the original making it’s way over to the Switch in the way of a port, we’re also curious as to if Level-5 will be bringing the sequel – Revenant Kingdom – over to the hybrid Nintendo console, as well.
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is set to release as a remaster for the PS4 and PC on September 20, 2019 and a port over to the Switch on the same date.
