PlayStation 5 Reveal On May 27th?
The start of next gen has officially begun with the recent reveal of Sony’s next piece hardware in an exclusive Wired article last week. However, we also know Microsoft is gearing up to reveal their next generation of hardware this E3, so when could we actually see Sony officially reveal their next console? Apparently, Dr Lisa Su of AMD of which has partnered up with Sony to provide the next PlayStation with a customized CPU, has revealed some rather enticing info regarding when we could hear more about the next PlayStation console. She states that she’s looking forward to this year’s Computex press conference in which she will “provide new details about the next generation of high performance AMD platforms and products.” The Computex Press Conference is slated for May 27, 2019 and could very well give us an inside look at PlayStation’s next major console.
NetherRealm Studios Issues Tweak For MK 11 Rewards Value
Mortal Kombat 11 released this week to mostly critical acclaim, but one factor left a much more negative feeling in the game. The rewards values and balancing for grinding out the game in order to unlock various cosmetics has been deemed near impossible to unlock everything without using real money to purchase new items. NetherRealm Studios has acknowledged the issue, and immediately released a statement claiming that they’re working on tweaking the reward system with the fixes finding itself in the game relatively soon.

New Ninja Theory Title – Bleeding Edge – Leaked
It seems that the new in-development title from now Microsoft first party studio, Ninja Theory, has been anonymously leaked. Presumably titled Bleeding Edge, the new IP looks to add a great deal of depth to the Ninja Theory line up. It’s rumored to be heavily story focused, feature four-player co-op, stretch across 18 levels in 6 different locations and rumored to be Ninja Theory’s longest game development project in their illustrious history. The rumor goes on to claim we’ll hear more about this new title at this year’s E3 event, and is supposedly set to release in 2020 exclusively for the PC and Xbox One.
Nintendo Confirms No New Switch Hardware To Be Revealed During E3 2019
While we’ve received plenty of rumors surrounding a potential new Switch model releasing sometime this year, it seems Nintendo has promptly put those rumors to rest, for now anyway. In a financial report form the veteran game company, Nintendo’s President has disclosed that the company currently has no plans of revealing a new Switch model during their E3 2019 presentation. While this doesn’t entirely rule out a new Switch model debuting in the future, it does leave many fans curious as to what their E3 show will include. Maybe we can expect more details regarding a potential new Switch in future Nintendo directs, as it’s also been stated that Nintendo is always working internally on new hardware.
More Death Stranding Details Emerge
During an interview with Geoff Keighley at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, veteran game developer Hideo Kojima and film actor Norman Reedus took the stage to lay a few more details regarding Death Stranding. Some of the highlights during the discussion were Kojima’s reiteration that Death Stranding is an open world action game, the game’s theme of connection/disconnection, and the emotional investment in the game will leave players in tears – or so Norman Reedus assumes. One last exciting bit of information detailed is that Kojima points towards a possible reveal of more from the game in a month or so, but that’s still up in the air.
