Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Adding Fanged Best Rajang in Future Update

Earlier this week Capcom teased some more news to land regarding the upcoming Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion. The news hits long-time fans hard as it was later revealed that the iconic monster – Rajang – will land in Iceborne as a free DLC update this coming October. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne officially released late this passed week for the PS4 and Xbox One with a PC version scheduled for January 2020.

Cyberpunk 2077 Confirms Multiplayer

Last week, reports came in that Cyberpunk 2077 might not feature multiplayer online as initially planned. However, developers CD Projekt Red has since wiped away those fears with a tweet earlier this week stating that multiplayer is still very much in development and is currently planned as free post-launch DLC update after the game releases next spring. Cyberpunk 2077 is currently planned to release as the single player experience on April 16, 2020 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC with a Stadia launch scheduled, as well, and the multiplayer portion hitting sometime after.

Plants vs. Zombie: Battle for Neighborville Announced

EA has officially revealed the next main installment in the Plants vs. Zombies series, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. The game’s announcement trailer was leaked last month, and it seems the leak was accurate. The new game was shown off with the new trailer along with the exclusive Founder’s Edition of the game. Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville will officially launch on October 18, 2019 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC while the Founder’s Edition is available now until September 30, 2019 which allows players to try out the game early.

Overwatch on Switch Confirmed

Blizzard’s Overwatch has finally been confirmed for a Switch release during this week’s extensive Nintendo Direct showcase. While the port of the multiplayer shooter has been rumored and leaked for a while now, Nintendo confirmed that Switch owners will be receiving the Legendary Edition of Overwatch which is set to release on the Switch on October 15, 2019.

Nintendo Direct Reveals Tons of New Game Announcements

The massive Nintendo Direct showcase which aired earlier this week revealed tons of new releases hitting the Switch console throughout the remainder of the year, as well as next year. While we received looks at already confirmed titles, like Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokemon Sword/Shield, plenty of other big titles were also announced during the showcase.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

Monolith Soft’s original Xenoblade Chronicles title was announced for a Switch release as Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. The new release will allow Switch owners to try out the original Xenoblade Chronicles title and is set to release sometime in 2020.

Devil May Cry 2 on Switch

It was also revealed that Capcom’s Devil May Cry 2 will be releasing on the Switch this month on September 19, 2019 on the eShop. The original Devil May Cry title released on the Switch earlier this summer, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see at least the third installment to land on the Switch as well sometime in the near future.

Doom 64 Re-Release

While rumors have been swirling for a while now, Bethesda and Nintendo finally confirmed that a re-release of the Nintendo 64 Doom title, Doom 64, will be releasing on the Switch on the same day as Doom Eternal – November 22, 2019.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC Reveal

Super Smash Bros Ultimate players were delighted to hear the surprise announcement that Banjo-Kazooie launched earlier this week as a DLC character pack. However, Nintendo also revealed that the next fighter to launch as a DLC fighter will be Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard and will become available this coming November. What’s more, is that additional fighters are in development to land on the game after the initial five in the current Fighters Pass.

Little Town Hero Release Date

The Nintendo Direct showcase also revealed Game Freak’s new IP which is now officially titled, Little Town Hero. The announcement came with a brand new trailer for the game as well as the official release date which is scheduled for October 16, 2019 on the Switch’s digital eShop.

SNES Games Head Over to Switch

And finally, perhaps some of the biggest news out of the Nintendo Direct showcase was the inclusion of Super Nintendo titles arriving on the Switch Online service library. The new additions are now available to Switch Online subscribers which includes 20 Super Nintendo titles, along with the exclusive wireless Super Nintendo controllers for the Switch. We should expect additional titles to be added to the library every month, similar to how Nintendo added NES titles over the course of the last year.

Nintendo Teases New Experience for the Switch

Along with the extensive Direct showcase, Nintendo also revealed a teaser video this week which seems to point towards some type of workout related hardware and software for the Switch. The video shows a variety of different cultures enjoying what appears to be some workout type mini-games similar to Wii Fit, but seems to invoke a helping of fun, as well – as if to entice more players to stay active. We’ll see what Nintendo is officially teasing once the reveal hits next week on September 12, 2019.
