New Side-Scrolling Title, Greak: Memories of Azure, Announced for Switch

Back in July, indie developer Bromio announced the upcoming side-scroller Greak: Memories of Azure which was previously confirmed for a PC release. Now, the indie developer has officially announced the game will also be landing on the Nintendo Switch once it releases sometime in 2020.

The new titile is an adventure side-scrolling game which offers up beautiful hand-drawn visuals as players travel through the land of Azure as you play the role of three different siblings. You can read through the official overview and main features for the game below which was provided by developers Bromio:

Greak: Memories of Azur its a side-scrolling single-player game with traditional hand drawn animation. In this adventure, the player will take the role of three siblings: Greak, Adara, and Raydel; whom you will need to guide through the lands of Azur. You will be able to alternate control between them at any moment and use their unique abilities to escape from the Urlag invasion.

Greak is the name of the main character, and the smaller brother of three. He belongs to a magical race called the Courine, which is currently under the attack of an enemy invasion from a faction called the Urlag. This battle has been going on for a long time, and the Courine are starting to flee their own lands. Greak’s goal is to reunite with his brother and sister and then escape the lands of Azur by building a zeppelin piece by piece. Through the game, you will find each sibling in different situations, and once you do, they will join the adventure and help you progress through the game.

  • Traditional hand-drawn animation, expressive and atmospheric scenarios with a narrative of the context of the adventure.
  • Use the special skills of each sibling in the indicated situation. You will have to solve different puzzles and fight enemies by alternating characters to progress through the ares of the game.
  • Explore a world where scarcity and resource management will be key to success; The lands Azur were taken over and now the Courines are forced to flee from their homeland.

As for now, Greak: Memories of Azure doesn’t have an official release date other than 2020.
