It’s time for remakes once again folks, and rest easy because System Shock desperately needed a make over, it was one of the best games that nobody played when it came out in 1994 and a lot of people ignore that the creators of this game also went on to create the masterpiece known as Bioshock years later. In any case, developer Night Dive Studios just released a brand new trailer of the remake of System Shock.
System Shock is a 1994 first-person action role-playing video game. The game’s setting takes place in a space station and the player assumes role of a unidentified hacker with a mission to hinder the plans of a malevolent artificial intelligence called SHODAN.

The game is currently being developed in Unity, featuring updated graphics and user interface for a more intuitive experience, Developer Night Dive Studios has also promised that the game would still retain it’s classic dark ambiance and disturbing themes that gave the game it’s unique identity when it first released.
The game will make it’s debut on Xbox One and PC and is set to be released sometime in 2017; according to the website, a Kickstarter for the project is coming soon as well.
“After two decades, we are remastering and re-imagining the original System Shock. We will keep the new game true to the classic experience, keeping all the things you loved, while updating the user interface and graphics to use a modern day engine (Unity). With the help of the original concept artist, the original vision of the Citadel Station and its inhabitants will finally come back to life.”
