For decades the gaming industry has flourished with a set number of primary console manufacturers to tie the gaming community over. Whether it has been Sega vs. Nintendo vs. Playstation, or Microsoft joining the mix with their Xbox brand, we haven’t seen many other viable contenders enter the ring.
Google looks to change the current trend of popular gaming by showing off what could possibly be a console or subscription service reveal. However, there has been no official confirmation as to what they intend to show, so let the rumors commence.

Furthermore, there have been a few rumors already suggesting Google is looking to release a subscription based gaming service called ‘Yeti’, which would provide a streaming platform using the company’s cloud servers. This could help solidify the industry’s direction towards game streaming and an all digital future.
The Game Developers Conference is set to take place on March 19, 2019. Google’s official reveal is slotted for 1 PM EST/10 AM PDT. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled next week for whatever Google has been brewing in the kettle for their potential leap into gaming.
