New Xbox Series X and PS5 Rumors Suggest an October Launch

New rumor appeared today, what it seems like outdated information or the job someone trying to start a rumor is now viral, Xbox Series X and PS5 have new ‘information’ from retailers that may indicate that both consoles are planned to launch on October 2020.

Disclaimer – This information has not been verified, therefore this is not factual.

The first reported information from regarding the PS5 launch comes from an allegedly Sony job listing, as reported by Tech Radar, the source is a Japanese career website Rikunabi, which was distributed by Nibellion on Twitter. The information was translated via Google Translate, which is not a reliable way to affirm that is actually what Sony posted.

We will leave the prototype purchasing business of PlayStation hardware products to you. We will select the best suppliers from domestic and overseas part partners, coordinate hardware parts specifications and produce capacity in cooperation with the Design Department and the Quality Assurance Department to create PlayStation 5 which will be released in October 2020.

The Xbox Series X is also being rumored to launch on October, 2020, more specifically on the 23th. This rumor was spotted by wccftech, it comes from a new listing for the Western launch of Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

The Xbox Series X’s launch title is arriving on October 23 according a Finnish retailer. However if the website is reliable, this is just a placeholder date.

Is almost impossible that Sony and Microsoft would do an early release than was originally announced, both companies are already facing the catastrophic situation of COVID-19. The manufacturing process has been compromised, there is also the rising cost of SSD, the backbone of next gen hardware. The Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has revealed that a 2020 launch is not 100 percent confirmed, as he explains that even if the company does not have a plan b, if the current situation of the world gets worst, Microsoft would be in the need to make a new strategy.
