Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Announced

Nickelodeon

will be getting a super smash bros style fighting game, pitting your favorite Nick stars from both the past and the present against each other for supremacy. Announced by IGN, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is set to release this fall with Ludosity and Fair Play Labs set to develop and GameMill Entertainment publishing.

A trailer for the game was released on youtube. In it we see a roster of characters jumping into the fray before beating each other mercilessly.

Similar to Super Smash Bros. the game features 2D stages filled with platforms and obstacles that players will have to avoid and traverse in the heat of combat. Each character will get their own move sets as well, representing them from their respective shows. The game will also feature Single-Player, Multi-Player, couch co-op, and online for you and up to three friends.

The game will feature a total of 20 levels inspired by shows on the network, and that represent the characters present in the game. These stages range from Spongebob’s Jellyfish Fields to the Technodrome from TMNT. These are the only stages confirmed thus far but based on the cast we can expect an eclectic range.

In total, the trailer confirms 14 characters. A complete list of them is:

  • Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

  • Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

  • Nigel Thornberry (The Wild Thornberrys)

  • Powdered Toast Man (Ren & Stimpy)

  • SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob SquarePants)

  • Sandy Cheeks (SpongeBob SquarePants)

  • Patrick Star (SpongeBob SquarePants)

  • Oblina (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters)

  • Lucy Loud (The Loud House)

  • Lincoln Loud (The Loud House)

  • Helga (Hey Arnold!)

  • Reptar (Rugrats)

  • Zim (Invader Zim)

  • Danny Phantom (Danny Phantom)

Gamers might remember there was another mascot team up outside the signature Nintendo franchise. Playstation had attempted in during the PlayStation 3 era with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. While it received a positive reception it was not able to clear enough sales to warrant a sequel.
