Square Enix has shared a short video detailing the upcoming NieR: Automata and Final Fantasy XV collaboration featuring Noctis’ iconic Engine Blade. NieR fans will be able to pick up the weapon in-game, which features a copy of the effects and damage display style from Final Fantasy XV.
As previously detailed, the one-handed sword weapon for 2B will feature an exclusive evasion effect, along with additional damage display effect from the weapon that will make it look like the ones we see in Final Fantasy XV.
NieR: Automata will launch for PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, and for PlayStation 4 and PC in North America and Europe in early 2017.
Check out the Trailer:
In addition to bringing the Engine Blade as a one-handed sword weapon for 2B, it’ll have a neat exclusive evasion effect. Since it’s modeled after the weapon directly from Final Fantasy XV, it’ll also display damage the same way we see it in the RPG as well. It looks like it’ll also have its own weapon story, too.
Additionally, Square Enix is preparing to bring something from NieR: Automata to Final Fantasy XV, but we’ll learn more about that on a later date.
Includes several titles.
