NieR: Automata, climbed back into headlines this week with a brand new trailer from Tokyo Games Show 2016 and a release date. After all this time, the action RPG has been confirmed for a release in Japan on Feb. 23, 2017.
It’s unclear at the moment whether this release date is universal or if North America and other territories will need to wait longer. The game is also planned to launch for Windows PC, although it’s unclear if that will be the same date as the PlayStation 4 launch.
Check out the Trailer:
“The second NieR trailer of the week is about twice as long as the first, at just under two minutes and 30 seconds, but there isn’t much more gameplay in our latest look at the game. Instead, the new trailer runs through brief shots of several characters from NieR: Automata, giving fans a chance to see how the final model for each compares to concept art for each character. Unfortunately, like the previous trailer, our latest look at NieR is narrated entirely in Japanese. So it will be difficult for Western audiences to take away much more than an appreciation for the art we’ll see in NieR: Automata at launch.”
