NightCry Releases on March 29 for Steam

Clock Tower spiritual successor NightCry will be releasing on Steam and Playism on March 29, 2016.

This marks a relatively quick turnaround for the game codenamed Project Scissors, originally announced and launched on Kickstarter on January 2015. Developer Nude Maker assembled a dream team of developers and artists for the project, including The Grudge director Takashi Shimizu, Silent Hill creature designer Masahiro Ito,Bloodmasque and Tenchu artist Kyoshi Arai, Bubblegum Crisis artist Shinki Aramaki,Castlevania composer Michiru Yamane, and of course, the lead developer for the Clock Tower series, Hifumi Kono.

NightCry offers three playable characters, and a mystery set in a cruise ship vacation that turns into a nightmare when a mysterious scissors-wielding assailant starts taking out the ship’s visitors and crew.

Check out the Trailer:

“Hifumi Kono‘s Kickstarted NightCry title will be bringing scissor-related horror to the PC at the end of the month. Kono, creator of the Clock Tower series, successfullyraised $315,000 USD with a campaign launched in January 2015.”
