Nintendo Direct September 2018 Overview

In today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced various games coming to the Nintendo 3DS family of systems and the Nintendo Switch, along with an overview trailer of the new Nintendo Switch Online service that will be releasing on September 18th.

Here’s an overview of all the announcements that Nintendo made during their Nintendo Direct presentation:

  • Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn
    The 2010 Wii game of Kirby is coming back for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems filled with new features to keep players engaged again.
  • Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey
    Nintendo revealed more details about the new sidestory coming to the game that features Bowser Jr. as the protagonist of its own story.
  • Luigi’s Mansion
    It was revealed in the Nintendo Direct presentation that in the new Luigi’s Mansion remake coming to the Nintendo 3DS players will be able to play the game in its new co-op mode where 2 players can play the main story of the game or fight all the gallery bosses if only one of them owns the game.
  • Yo-Kai Watch Blasters Moon Rabbit Crew
    Yo-Kai Watch Blasters is receiving a new update that will bring the Moon Rabbit Crew version to the game.
  • Splatoon 2 Ver. 4
    The new Version 4.0.0 update is coming! New weapon sets, part of the Kensa Collection, arrive tonight. In addition, Splatfests have been refreshed with new features, and new sub and special weapons are on the way soon.
  • Mega Man 11
    The iconic blue bomber is coming to the Nintendo Switch in Mega Man 11 and if you tap one of the two available Mega Man Amiibo figures, you will receive special items each day to use in the game.
  • Mario Tennis Aces Ver. 2
    New characters are joining the roster in Mario Tennis Aces in the new update coming to the game.
  • Capcom Beat ’em up Bundle
    Capcom’s iconic beat ’em up games from the arcade classics era will be coming to the Nintendo Switch with new online and co-op features.
  • New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
    The New Super Mario Bros. U will receive a Deluxe treatment when it comes to the Nintendo Switch, bringing two new playable characters to the game.
  • Katamari Damacy Reroll
    Katamari Damacy will be coming to the Nintendo Switch remastered in HD and with new gyro controls and HD rumble features.
  • Nintendo Switch Online Service
    Players will be able to enjoy the Nintendo Switch Online Service and all its 5 features on September 18th this year. The features include Online Play, a growing library of NES games, Save Data Cloud, Smatphone App and Special Offers.
  • New NES Controllers for the Nintendo Switch
    Now you can play NES games on the Nintendo Switch like how old schools gamers played games on the NES a while ago.
  • Pokémon Let’s Go Pickachu! and Let’s Go Eevee!
    Learn to use secret techniques that only your partner Pokémon can learn to clear obstacles off the path.
  • Diablo III: Eternal Collection
    Diablo III is coming to the Nintendo Switch with new features like the Ganondorf Transmog armor + amiibo compatibility for the game.
  • Super Mario Party
    Super Mario Party is coming to the Nintendo Switch with new ways to play mini games with your friends.
  • Cities: Skylines
    The acclaimed Cities: Skylines is coming to the Nintendo Switch, now you can build and manage a city anytime and anywhere.
  • Daemon X Machina
    A new mecha action game is coming to the Nintendo Switch where you must pilot a powerful suit of armor that you can equip new parts as you find them by defating enemies.
  • Asmodee Digital
    Asmodee Digital will bring 3 tabletop games to the Nintendo Switch, and on the future they will release a lot more tabletop games to the Switch.
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
    The popular strategy game Civilization VI is coming to the Nintendo Switch, bringing a 4 player local multiplayer mode.
  • Starlink: Battle for Atlas
    The Nintendo Switch version of Starlink: Battle for Atlas will bring exclusive Star Fox missions where you control Fox Mcloud and encounter other characters from the franchise.
  • Two great RPGs are coming to the Nintendo Switch
    The World Ends With You: Final remix and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country will be coming to the Nintendo Switch to the joy of all RPG fans.
  • A lot of games are coming to the Nintendo Switch
    Warframe, Just Dance 2019, FIFA 19, Team Sonic Racing, NBA 2K19, NBA 2k Playgrounds 2 and LEGO DC Super-Villiains are coming to the Nintendo Switch.
