Nintendo Repair Centers Restarts in North America

Nintendo announced recently the gradual restart of their Repair Centers, the service stopped back in March due to COVID-19 restrictions, players who has a Wii, Wii U, 2DS, 3DS or Switch that needs repairing, Nintendo is willing to fix it on their North American repair centers.

As we continue to follow the preventive measures put in place related to the COVID-19 pandemic, in accordance with local guidelines, some of our repair centers are now able to gradually restart services. We are working as quickly and safely as possible to get you playing again and appreciate your understanding.

While repair centers ramp up operations, repair orders will be prioritized in the order that they have been set up and received, including products currently held at repair centers that were in-process and not completed due to the closures.

Nintendo has updated the “Important Information About Repair Service Center Closures” … “Depending on the state or province, some repair centers are gradually restarting services in accordance with local guidelines in place due to COVID-19,” reads Nintendo’s FAQ.

Nintendo will need be back to its usual operations as soon as possible, the company has reported significant profit in the last financial report, however, the launch of the next gen devices will surely slow the Switch down sales. In anticipation to a tougher competition, Nintendo has revealed some of moves that are expected to keep the company competitive.

Nintendo President, Shuntaro Furukawa announced that the Online Service will be improved in the near future.  Nintendo has never expressed worrying about the launch of next gen devices, but speaking to investors, Nintendo explains that COVID-19 outbreak impact will definitely have a negative effect in the finances of the company, a 9.6 percent drop in hardware sales is expected.
