Bloomberg affirms that the new Nintendo handheld console will be upgraded with an NVIDIA chip featuring better graphics, a larger OLED screen, and a larger battery.

Bloomberg Intelligence’s Matthew Kanterman affirms: “$349.99 will increase the value proposition of the device, but I still think Nintendo can drive strong demand even at $399.99”.

The new version of the Nintendo Switch will support NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Super Sampling, a new rendering technology that uses AI to boost the graphics of the console in an efficient way. The technique will allow Nintendo to take the best from Samsung’s OLED display and run games upscaled to 4K on docked mode. Samsung’s OLED panel will also boost battery efficiency affirms insiders.

Whistleblowers also claim that the New Nintendo Switch will offer a higher clocked CPU and increased memory. The DLSS support will require game developers to add new lines of codes of new and older games. It’s expected that the feature will only be present in new games.

Nintendo has reportedly informed its third-party partners to start producing games on 4k, the Nintendo Switch Pro is expected to use NVIDIA’s DLSS technique to upscale games to higher resolutions. Interestingly, Yoshitaka Murayama, a veteran in the videogames industry unintentionally affirmed that his latest project, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, will launch for a next-gen Switch in 2022.

More evidence of the new Nintendo Switch could be spotted in Nintendo Switch’s Ver. 10.0.0 as a new “nx-abcd” hardware model was added to the code of the Switch’s firmware. The intriguing information confirms that the third line of code refers to an unreleased console.
