Nintendo Teases Super Mario Sunshine Remaster

Nintendo has just revealed an image of Mario relaxing in the sunshine, fans of Nintendo are now thrilled with the expectation of a probable remaster or remake of the 2002’s GameCube Super Mario Sunshine.

Mario is turning 35, it’s rumored that Nintendo prepared several remakes and remasters as part of the celebration of the biggest video-game IP in the industry. VideoGameChronicle affirmed that Nintendo had a big announcement planned for E3 2020, but since it was canceled, they are planning to host a special event in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario series. VGC claims that multiple sources have told the outlet that Nintendo will unveil that most of Mario‘s 35-year catalog is remastered for Nintendo Switch.

At this moment, there is a lot of speculation from the different news outlets, is uncertain which of the Super Mario games are coming back, surely the most cherished ones are Super Mario, Super Mario 3, Super Mario World, Mario 64 and Mario Odyssey. There are some portable games that also deserve a remaster. Nintendo has been reached by journalist for more information, the answer that they were given is that Nintendo  “does not comment on rumor and speculation.”

and Gematsu have been confirmed by insiders, some of the games to arrive in a remaster fashion.

Eurogamer sources have indicated that Mario Galaxy is indeed one of the games being readied for a remaster, alongside a couple of other 3D Mario favourites. [UPDATE: Gematsu has now confirmed these as Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine, which Eurogamer can corroborate.]

Super Mario Sunshine is a 2002 3D platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. The game follows the events of Super Mario 64. Joined by Toadsworth, Princess Peach and five Toads our hero is taking a well-deserved break after beating Bowser on the tropical Isle Delfino.
