According to reports, Rainy Frog is tasked to port a Game Freak ‘s exclusive for the Sony PlayStation 4.
The title currently at work is a Game Freak’s Little Town Hero. And it’s expected to release in Japan on April 23. For the moment a worldwide release has not been announced.
A physical edition of the game will release for Switch, it will launch alongside the PS4 physical edition.
The game takes place in an isolated village on the edge of the world, the only gate lading outside is heavily guarded by a castled, players are not allowed to leave.
Villagers don’t care about the idea of leaving but the protagonist does, as he wants to see the world outside. The events starts when a “Monster” appears in the village, this was a big surprise for the villagers as they’ve never seen a creature like that before.
The protagonist is able to face the creature using a mysterious Red Stone he found in the coalmines, as he defends the village from monsters, he uncovers the secrets surrounding stones and monsters.
According to Game Freak, Little Town Hero, is different from most RPGs, as there is no need to fight weak monsters repeatedly to level grind in “Little Town Hero”. Gameplay is based on strategy, each boss monster has a different way to defeat.
