NVIDIA’s GeForce Now Goes Live

NVIDIA today announced that GeForce Now has launched for PC. A free subscription has been announced. NVIDIA explains that more than 1.2 billion players made the personal computer the world’s largest  gaming platform. NVIDIA bets for GeForce Now, a cloud gaming service that will allow players with modest hardware stream games at the highest definition.

“You’re upgrading to a state-of-the-art gaming rig by virtually adding a GeForce graphics card to your PC, Mac, SHIELD or Android phone”

NVDIA says their cloud gaming service is ‘Open Platform’ the hardware developer explains that players who has purchased a game on Steam or Epic Games Store will be available to keep playing the game via GeForce Now. The service is currently offering a wide range of F2P games, NVIDIA confirmed 30 games are now available, promises that more games are already on its way to join their library.

“If you buy it, you own it. If you already own it, play it. Your purchases are always yours.” … “In total, there are hundreds of games from more than 50 publishers that, once you own, are available for instant play. All these games are patched automatically in the cloud, so your library is always game ready.”

The service is free, but it would allow standard access and up to one hour of session length, a “Founders” subscription cost $4.99 a month, it gives players priority access, extended session length, RTX technology.

“We’ve reached a point in our journey where we’re ready to remove the waitlist, exit beta and open GeForce NOW up to even more gamers. Members will have the option of a free or premium experience.”

It was also announced that for a limited time, NVIDIA is offering a premium experience as a Founders membership, this would grant subscribers their first three months of service for free.
