Oculus’ Next Major VR Title is Defector, Announcement Trailer

Last month, Oculus teased the upcoming reveal of a new game from the makers of Wilson’s Heart. Today, they’re excited to officially announce Twisted Pixel’s upcoming spy caper VR game for the Oculus Rift, Defector!

Check out the announcement trailer of Defector, featuring some gameplay footage:

“Inspired by the impossible missions of our favorite secret agents, thislarger-than-life spyaction-adventure lets you become an elite operative with undercover assignments spanning the globe in dramatic, over-the-top situations.

Whether you’ve imagined navigating high-stakes situations with James Bond’s British charm or La Femme Nikita’s ruthless efficiency, Defector puts your wits to the test in a series of pulse-pounding missions. With gadgets, intel, and a little bit of luck on your side, you just might make it out alive. Risk everything. Fear nothing.

Building upon the narrative-driven success of Wilson’s Heart, Defector features massive set pieces and fast-paced action to keep you on the edge of your seat. And thanks to branching gameplay, each mission’s outcome is directly guided by your choices, big and small.

Don’t take our word for it—check out what these spies had to say:

  • “This new Oculus VR game is a cross between James Bond and The Fast and the Furious.” — The Verge
  • “Defector First Look: A Spy Fantasy for the Fast and the Furious Generation.” — IGN
  • “Defector Represents the Evolution of VR Gaming.” — VR Conduit

Defector hits Rift in late 2018, letting you attempt death-defying stunts and come face-to-face with your arch-nemesis in VR.
