Oculus Quest 2 Specifications Leaked

Oculus Quest 2 has been confirmed by two leaked videos uploaded on Facebook Blueprint, the leaked videos are official and affirm that the upcoming headset is ‘the most advanced all-in-one VR system yet’.

Oculus Quest 2 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR-2 chipset, the new hardware is a significant improvement over the original Snapdragon 835. The new VR headset is 11x faster on AI processing and will feature 6x video resolution support. According to the confirmed specifications, the device will feature 6GB 6f RAM.

The display is ‘almost 4k’, the device will display ‘nearly 2K per eye’, basically 50% more pixels compared to the original model,  In terms of storage size, there’ll be a 256GB version, though it doesn’t sound like it will be the basic one.

The leaked videos showcase a smaller device, the controllers have a more comfortable and a much more ergonomic look. Oculus Quest 2 is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Facebook Connect on Wednesday, September 16. If rumors are to be believed, the device will be sold for 300 USD.

The Oculus Quest 2 is likely to be officially unveiled during the upcoming Facebook Connect, scheduled for Wednesday, September 16th. No pricing information is available in the leaked videos, but rumors are pointing to a $300 price.

The Quest 2 will be smaller and lighter and the controllers have been made more comfortable too, thanks to improved ergonomics. The Oculus Link will still be available, naturally, allowing Quest users to play Oculus Rift games after they’ve connected their headset to a gaming PC.
