The release date of the Oculus Rift is drawing near and Oculus VR has just opened pre-orders for their VR googles, the Oculus Rift. The prices for the Oculus Rift start at $599.99 and will be available to ship to 20 countries starting on March 28 2016. The Rift will also be available at select retail locations, however, it hasn’t been announced which locations as of yet.
Here is the Kickstarter update video of Oculus VR team members making the announcement.
“The Oculus Rift includes the headset with built-in headphones and mic, sensor, and an Xbox One controller. The controller is perfect for a variety of games, including Lucky’s Tale, the amazing VR platformer developed by Playful, that are being included for free with every Rift.
Rift also includes the Oculus Remote. The Oculus Remote is a new input device designed to make it simple and intuitive to navigate VR experiences. With Remote, you can easily browse the Oculus store, explore 360 video content in Oculus Video, or experience a wide range of VR games and entertainment. It is the easiest way to introduce non-gamers to VR.
The games included with every rift are Lucky’s Tale and Eve: Valkyrie, more games are expected to utilize VR technology by the end of the year including the popular sandbox game, Minecraft.
For the full Rift experience, Oculus VR recommends the following PC system:

• Memory: 8GB+ RAM
• Output: Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output
