The upcoming Samurai Shodown reboot is officially landing this week and it seems the opening cinematic for the game has been unveiled before release. The opening video shows off the face of the series, Haohmaru, and is a re-imagining of the introduction to the original title in the series.

Up until this point we’ve received a character introduction trailer for every fighter on the roster giving fans a good look at who to expect in the reboot. SNK has also announced that a post-launch season pass DLC will include four more fighters added to the roster, and if you purchase the game before June 30, 2019 you’ll received the season pass for free.
Samurai Shodown is set to release on June 25, 2019 for the PS4 and Xbox One while the PC and Switch version is expected for a release in Q4 2019.
