Nintendo and developer Level-5 have officially announced the upcoming release date for the recently rumored original Yo-Kai Watch on the Switch in Japan. So far, we only have a Japan release date and announcement, but considering the series has been localized in the west and the original eventually saw its debut in regions outside of japan, it’s likely we’ll see the re-release on the Switch head overseas at some point.
Yo-Kai Watch initially released on the 3DS in 2013 but made its way over to the west in 2015. The fist three titles in the series have released in the west and the upcoming Yo-Kai Watch 4 has also been announced with a western version.
The original Yo-Kai Watch is set to release on the Switch in both physical and digital formats in Japan on October 10, 2019.
