Atlus recently revealed a long, two hours video, showcasing the gameplay of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, the next installment of the popular JRPG saga.
The video is in Japanese, but a lot of the game’s mechanics and showcases the amount of details expected from Atlus’s next JRPG. The two hours gameplay video goes through the story, so there are some spoilers in the long video.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers
is an upcoming hack and slash, JPRG developed by Omega Force and P-Studio. The game will release for the Nintendo Switch and PS4. The game is a crossover between Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors and Atlus’s Persona franchise.
The game is set six months after the events of Persona 5, and follows Joker and the rest of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts as they end up in a mysterious version of Tokyo filled with supernatural enemies.
Persona 5 is part of the Megami Tensei franchise. The game originally released for PS3 and PS4 in Japan in 2017. Recently Persona 5 Royal released in Japan, a worldwide release is scheduled for March 2020.
Events in Persona 5 takes place in Tokyo, the main protagonist is Joker, a student who awakens with special powers and later becoming a part of a group of secret group called Phantom Thieves of Hearts. He and other students who also have special powers explore the Metaverse, a supernatural realm bron from humanity’s subconscious desires.
Persona 5 was developed by Atlus’ P-Studio under the direction of Katsura Hashino. Hashino is a renowned name for his direction of ‘Megami Tensei’ titles.
Persona 5 was well received among the critic and Atlus RPG fans. The game benefits from a superb visual presentation, gameplay, and music. The game has been considered to be one of the greatest RPG game ever developed, having won multiple awards. Revenue has been impressive for a JRPG. Having shipped over three million copies by the end of 2019.
