During the second day of the Persona Super Live concert, Atlus made another big reveal for the series. While many assumed that the recently rumored Persona 5 S would be a port of Persona 5 to the witch, it seems that Atlus had other plans as they’ve announced a new spin-off, Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.

After the lengthy day two concert, the new trailer for Scramble debuted and took many fans by surprise. It appears to be a Persona 5 themed Dynasty Warriors-esque hack and slash title. While there’s no official release date for the game as of this writing, it has been confirmed to be launching on both the PS4 and Switch.
Yesterday, Atlus revealed more details and a gameplay trailer for Persona 5 Royal which is a massive expansion to the original Persona 5 title. And with today’s Persona 5 Scramble announcement, plenty of Persona fans are excited to jump into more Persona filled action.
It’s interesting to see Atlus bring over more Persona 5 related content without the original Persona 5 title being ported over to the Nintendo console. With Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, Joker on Super Smash and now Persona Scramble all making an appearance on Nintendo hardware, it’s still surprising to see Atlus not take advantage of building a Persona fanbase on Nintendo platforms.
Stay tuned for more details on the latest Persona 5 title as they arrive.
