PC players can try their hand with the new Ultra HD update for Borderlands 2 for free this weekend as Steam is offering the updated title at no cost for this weekend only. If you’re looking to catch up before Borderlands 3 officially launches, or wish to dive back into the epic loot ‘n’ shooter, now is as good of time as any.
Along with the free weekend for Borderlands 2 – no DLC is available for the free download – fans may also pick up the original Borderlands, the newly released Game of the Year Edition, as well as The Handsome Jack Pre-Sequel with massive discounts lasting until next week. There’s also substantial discounts to all DLC for the series as well.
The Ultra HD update brings over plenty of enhanced visuals to the games, including higher textures, ambient occlusion and improved lighting effects. And if you already own The Handsome Jack Collection from this generation, the update is available free of charge.
Now is a good time to hop back into the series before the world finally gets their hands on the long-awaited Borderlands 3 which is set for a September 13, 2019 launch date for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The free Borderlands 2 download is available starting now and until April 7, 2019.
