Despite being so quiet this year, it seems Sony has some big plans for next year and if one of the latest rumors turns out to be true, Sony’s big show will kick-off in February next year under the name of PlayStation Meeting.
The rumor suggests that PlayStation Meeting 2020 will take place on February 12, probably prior to the launch of The Last of Us Part 2 if rumors on its release date wouldn’t be fake. The source has claimed that the upcoming event will be focused on the future of PlayStation family, which definitely would provide a glimpse on the next console of the Japanese company.
Furthermore, the event could also bring more details on some silence projects at Sony’s first-party studios like Ghost of Tsushima or the new game from Horizon: Zero Dawn developers. Also, the second team at Naughty Dog has been working on a new IP after launching Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End back in 2016.
Aside from first-party studios, Sony has got a good relationship with some second-party developers like Insomniac Games for bringing new exclusives to PlayStation 5. Also, the company has recently announced that they are looking to expand their first-party studios by acquiring more teams.
