PlayStation Now Gets a Huge Price Cut

PlayStation recently announced in a blog post that their subscription service, PlayStation Now will be getting a substantial price cut starting Oct. 1 according to Senior Director of Sony Interactive Entertainment Content Communications, Sid Shuman.

“Starting October 1, the following top blockbuster games will be added to the PS Now service: God of War, Grand Theft Auto V*, Infamous Second Son and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. These games will be available starting on October 1 until January 2, 2020 for you to stream to your PS4 system or PC, or download to your PS4 system.”

You can look at the new prices for PS Now Right here:

  • US: $9.99 – monthly / $24.99 – quarterly / $59.99 – yearly (from $19.99/ $44.99/ $99.99)
  • CAN: $12.99 – monthly / $34.99 – quarterly / $79.99 – yearly (from $19.99/ $44.99/ $99.99)

Basically, just about everything from  PS Now is available to use and play such as streaming and downloading games.

Additionally, hit titles like God of War and Grand Theft Auto V are available this month for the service, and the best part is that users can stream these games as long as their pc has at least 2GB of RAM and a Core I3, 2.0 GHz CPU.

Is there a reason for the price drop? Well Sony says themselves that its to keep in line with prices of other streaming services, meaning that they know that their original pricing may have been too high to begin with. You could even say that they had their backs to the wall and was forced to use these prices. Well either way, PS Now is going to be way cheaper from now on and current subscribers would definitely be happy to hear that they don’t have to pay as much as they used to.
