Pokemon Developer Game Freak Hacked, Game Details Leaked

Pokemon developer Game Freak was reportedly recently hacked. The hack led to a significant leak of stolen data that includes employee data along with details for upcoming Pokemon games and the Nintendo Switch 2. According to a report by Nintendo Life, the data includes the next console codename “Ounce”. It also reveals that the codename for the next 10th gen Pokemon game is “Gaia” and the codename for the upcoming  Pokemon Legends: Z-A is “Ikkaku”.  Additionally, a Pokémon game codenamed “Synapse” was also spotted, and may be a Pokemon MMO being developed along with another studio. Source code for DS titles Pokémon HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black 2, and White 2 were also reportedly leaked. Lastly, Game Freak also confirmed the massive breach and that over 2000 pieces of employee information was stolen. The statement reveals that full names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers were compromised.“Those who can not be contacted individually due to retirement or other reasons will be notified in this announcement, and a contact person will be set up to respond to inquiries regarding this matter.” Said Gamefreak. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and concern this may have caused to all concerned”.

Details for the latest Pokemon game via Nintendo can be seen below:

Journey Through a New, Open-World Pokemon Adventure

Catch, battle, and train Pokemon in the Paldea Region, a vast land filled with lakes, towering peaks, wastelands, small towns, and sprawling cities. Explore a wide-open world at your own pace and traverse land, water, and air by riding on a form-shifting Legendary Pokemon—Koraidon in Pokemon Scarlet and Miraidon in Pokemon Violet. Choose either Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly to be your first partner Pokemon before setting off on your journey through Paldea.

Choose Your Own Path as You Strive for Champion Rank, Take on Titan Pokemon, and Face Off Against Team Star

There is no set path on your Paldea adventure, so you can weave freely through your Treasure Hunt consisting of three grand stories. Along Victory Road, you will challenge Gyms in different locations and aim to achieve Champion Rank. On the Path of Legends, take on gigantic Titan Pokemon that guard rare ingredients. And in ★ Starfall Street ★, you’ll use the new Auto Battle feature to take on Team Star grunts from your school in order to reach their boss.

Encounter Pokemon that Shine and Glimmer Thanks to the Terastal Phenomenon

Pokemon in the Paldea region have the ability to Terastallize to take on a gemstone-like appearance and gain special power. Each Pokemon has a Tera Type that remains inactive until the Pokemon Terastallizes. For example, most Eevee will have a Normal Tera Type, but some other Eevee have a Water Tera Type! When a Terastallized Pokemon uses a move that matches its Tera Type, the boost to that move’s power will be even greater! Terastallizing holds the key to victory or defeat in battles in the Paldea region.
