Prevent The Fall Is Looking For Brave Warriors To Fight The Forces Of Evil On STEAM
Indie game developer D.W.S is proud to announce their action-oriented dungeon crawler Prevent The Fall has launched on Early Access via STEAM. Scheduled for official release later this year, Prevent The Fall can be experienced in single-player mode, in multiplayer co-op online or via LAN.
Your challenge is to advance through twenty character levels, as you explore semi-procedurally generated dungeons, earn STEAM Achievements, and acquire a slew of items in this RPG experience. Co-op sessions can be mixed and matched with both VR and non-VR players adventuring together. The game can be controlled with mouse and keyboard, gamepad, or STEAM VR motion controllers. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets are supported.
Dungeons are semi-procedurally generated for maximum performance. Utilizing randomly selected layouts players will be able to generate simple quests which will have them seeking to explore, slay, or collect items in dungeons featuring generated NPCs, loot, and traps. Players are able to increase or decrease the difficulty of these quests, and dungeon encounters will spawn an increased number of monsters based on the number of players in co-op sessions.

Prevent the Fall was designed from the ground up to support Virtual Reality using either Motion Controllers or a gamepad. If you are using a Steam VR compatible VR headset then you will be able to run the game in VR mode. While are a fully on board the VR train, we also realize that many players do not yet have VR headsets or are not interested in VR. As a result traditional (non-VR) gameplay is also supported, utilizing either a keyboard and mouse or gamepad.
Players with motion controllers will have full control over their arm movements and will be able to actively parry or block attacks using them. Special abilities are performed by performing different gestures while various items are equipped if you are using motion controllers. Keyboard or gamepad users will have a more traditional method to combat which will play animations rather than real-time hand tracking.
