Ubisoft has delayed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake until March 18, 2021.With the original release set for January 21, 2021, Ubisoft has decided to delay the upcoming remake in order to provide a complete experience. The team expressed the delay was due to the barriers put in front of businesses this year because of Covid-19 and the effect it has had on the workplace. The third-person action-adventure puzzle-platforming game originally released on PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance and PC in November 2003. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was a huge hit for the series, leading to three spin-off games. While there have been HD collections with The Sands of Time included, the 2003 game hasn’t received the remake treatment it so rightly deserves. The game includes the first use of the titular Sands of Time, allowing the player to travel a few seconds in the past if they mess up a platforming section or die in combat. This feature would go on to be used in almost all the Prince of Persia games to come after this, solidifying it as a staple of the franchise. Its delayed release joins Far Cry 6, whose intended release of February 18, 2021 was delayed until Ubisoft‘s “next fiscal year”, which begins in March. These delays may have become more necessary as other peripheral events caused the games to be pushed back, namely Ubisoft’s hefty line-up of holiday releases. Three big titles, Watch Dogs: Legion, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and Immortals: Fenyx Rising all released in the past month, surely taking up man-power to provide the best product possible on release.Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time
releases March 18, 2021.
