Take-Two has just announced that its indie publishing label, Private Division, has signed a partnership deal with Moon Studios, League of Geeks, and Roll7 to publish new games from each indie studio.
Moon Studios is better known for Ori and the Will of the Wisps, the studio is currently working on a new action RPG thanks to the support of Take-Two. League of Geeks is known for creating a role-playing strategy board game, the Australian developer is working on a new IP. Roll7 studio found success after the development of OlliOlli, a side-scrolling skateboarding game, with the funding of Take-Two they are working on a new “flow state” game.
Those three titles are in an early phase of development, a release date has not been disclosed, official documents of the partnership indicates that Take-Two is hoping to be able to sell the games in the fiscal year 2022.
“Our partnerships with Moon Studios, League of Geeks, and Roll7 continue to enhance Private Division’s roster with more of the game industry’s best creative talent from around the world,” said Private Division executive VP and head Michael Worosz.
“We are thrilled to work alongside these experienced developers to provide them with the support needed to propel their creative visions to the next level.”
Private Division has found huge success with the publishing rights of The Outer Worlds, a game that has sold over two million copies. Obsidian was acquired by Microsoft, and Private Division lost the publishing rights of newer projects from Obsidian. Private Division also released Disintegration, a game developed by Marcus Lehto, the creative art director for Halo.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is another recent title published by Private Division, this game was developed under the lead role of Assassin’s Creed Creator Patrice Desilet.
