Project xCloud Will be Bundled In Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Xbox announced that in September, Xbox Game Pass and Project xCloud will be bundled at no additional coss for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members. xCloud service will allow subscribers to play Xbox games on mobile devices, or start a game on a console and resume it on the phone or tablet.

Xbox claims that over 100 Xbox Game Pass games will be playable on mobile devices when xCloud officially launches. Microsoft has not revealed the list of supported countries, but subscribers in North America and Europe should be able to enjoy the streaming service.

In recent news about Project xCloud, Microsoft is updating their Azure data centers across US and Europe, Xbox Series X hardware will be handling the service in 2021. It’s also confirmed that xCloud will not be exclusive to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

With cloud gaming in Game Pass Ultimate, you will be able to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles on your phone or tablet. And because Xbox Live connects across devices, you can play along with the nearly 100 million Xbox Live players around the world. So when Halo Infinite launches, you and your friends can play together and immerse yourselves in the Halo universe as Master Chief—anywhere you go and across devices.

The head of Xbox, Phil Spencer recently revealed more information about Project xCloud, according to him, Microsoft has not decided a final name for the streaming service.

“This isn’t the official name, but you should think about it as Game Pass streaming or Xbox streaming, something like that,” explains Spencer. “We actually don’t have the final name just yet, but it won’t be Project xCloud.”

“We want to bring xCloud, eventually, to every screen that someone can stream games to. Right now we’re just saying mobile,” says Spencer. “There are discussions going on and we’re working through things. We’ll talk more specifically about which mobile devices through August and the September launch.”
