PS5 Could Be Revealed on Sony Hall NYC

A Reddit user recently shared an image that might be linked to the PS5 reveal date. According to IBT Sony might have reserved a hall in New York for February 29. The private event starts at 7pm and it’s exclusive for ticket holders.

It worth mentioning that it’s very unlikely that Sony host a media event on a weekend, this event might be organized to something unrelated to PlayStation. But Sony is actually hosting an event on February 24 , a date that might be more feasible. Sony is currently celebrating”25 Years of Play with a collection of titles on PS4 and PS VR.” on Sony Square NYC, Fans are expecting a reveal of the next-gen system to take place before February 16 when the event ends.

Sony Square NYC is doesn’t mention anything related to the future, or next generation, fans are still expecting a reveal, as the date and place seems appropriate for Sony to repeat history.

The recent rumors and speculation anticipates a reveal of the next-gen system taking place on February. Sony announced the PlayStation 4 on February 20, 2013 in New York City, on that day, Sony hosted a special event to cover the PlayStation Future called ‘PlayStation Meeting’. Sony has announced that, they won’t attend E3 2020, this has led fans to anticipate a reveal in less than 4 weeks.

According to Sony, they’ve planned a very special 2020, the Japanese giant will host and participate in several events around the globe, it’s still uncertain when the PS5 will be revealed as, no official information has been released.

“We will build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe. Our focus is on making sure fans feel part of the PlayStation family and have access to play their favorite content. We have a fantastic line up of titles coming to PlayStation 4, and with the upcoming launch of PlayStation 5, we are truly looking forward to a year of celebration with our fans.”
