Dataminers has deciphered new information regarding pre-orders of the upcoming PS5. If the new information is to be believed, potential buyers will only be able to buy one version of the console in their order, pre-orders will be sold by PlayStation, this should help Sony to keep a supply of new consoles in stock for the holidays season.
The console will also launch with a new badge that specifies some cross-gen functionality of controllers or games. More information about the leak suggests that buyers can get the PS5 directly from PlayStation.

Back in May, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, forecasted that Xbox Series X will cost $400 at launch, PlayStation is aiming at a $500 retail price. A recent rumor claimed that PS5 is set to launch on Japan on November 14, a worldwide launch will take place on November 20. The alleged leaker also claims that the console will cost $500.
The official information from Sony is the fact that the company is doubling the production of PS5 consoles, up to 10 million units will be manufactured in 2020.
Sony Corp has reportedly asked their manufacturing plants and associates to “radically” increase the orders for the next-gen console. Sony initially planned to produce 5-6 million units by the end of March 2021. However, Sony is facing another obstacle, the main problem now is that a large number of PS5 are manufactured in China. Insiders anticipate shipping constraints to affect the units being actually available by the holiday season.
Insiders told Bloomberg that Sony expects 5 million units being manufactured by the end of September, other 5 million between October and December.
