Sony has just announced that next week, Wednesday 16, a digital event will showcase some of the third-party games coming to PS5, it’s also expected that Sony starts the pre-orders for both digital and disc-drive version of its next-gen console.
Before PlayStation 5 launches this holiday, we wanted to give you one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!).
Our next digital showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes, and feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners.
Tune in live on Twitch or YouTube this Wednesday, September 16 at 1pm PDT / 9pm BST / 10pm CEST to see what’s next for PS5.
Recently, Senior Vice President and head of Marketing Eric Lempel affirmed that PS5 will feature the strongest launch lineup in the history of PlayStation, suggesting that there is still plenty of games from third-party developers that are not announced and will be featured only on PlayStation.
The content that will be in the launch window and beyond is incredibly exciting. I would say that this is the best line-up that we’ve ever seen in the history of PlayStation, between our Worldwide Studios groups and our partners from all the different publishers around the world. We’ve revealed some of that content, and naturally there will be more to come, but the way that the developers can engage with this platform, and create these new experiences with known IP as well as unknown IP, is incredibly exciting.
Disclaimer – This information has not been verified, therefore this is not factual.Earlier this week GAME Guilford suggested that PS5’s pre-orders and price reveal are imminent,
however, the unveiling of the Xbox Series S might have changed Sony’s the MSRP of the PS5, reports from GameReactor claims to have heard from an insider that PS5 was “considerably” more expensive before the announcement of Xbox Series S.
All the reports seem to suggest that fans will have to wait a few more weeks to get the chance to preorder a next-gen Sony console.
