PS5 Showcase Event Will Go Live on June 11

Sony has confirmed that at Thursday, June 11 fans will get the much anticipated PS5 showcase of some of its launch titles. Called ‘The Future of Gaming’, the showcase will be live at 1pm Pacific Time, 9pm BST.

“Now that the event is confirmed for June 11, I wanted to add that this pre-taped program will be broadcast at 1080p and 30 frames per second. This eased the show’s production process during a time when many of our team and developers are working from home. The games you’ll see on Thursday will look even better when you play them on PS5 with a 4K TV, as you’d expect.

It’s also best if you watch while wearing headphones, if you can — there’s some cool audio work in the show, and it might be harder to appreciate if it’s pumped through your phone or laptop speakers.”

As it was previously announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s CEO Jim Ryan, the digital showcase will run for “a bit more” than an our, fans can expect to see footage of some of the launch titles of the console, the Official PlayStation Magazine.

While fans are expecting to see the final design of the PlayStation 5, is still uncertain if Sony is ready to unveil the console yet. An analyst has compared the usual approach of the Japanese tech giant when it comes to console announcements and reveals, if his analysis is right, The Future of Gaming will not unveil the console, but it will reveal players all the games that will be coming for the platform, most importantly, the launch window for those games.

The latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine UK has revealed the 38 games to arrive the PlayStation 5, at the moment of writing, fourteen titles are confirmed to be available for the next gen console at its launch window.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5, Fifa 21, Godfall, Madden 21, NHL 21, Observer: System Redux, Outriders, Quantum Error, Rainbow Six Siege, Redo! Enhanced Edition, Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2 Warframe and WRC are the confirmed titles.

Is worth mentioning that there are much more games scheduled for six months after the launch of the console, and several other announced titles to arrive in late 2021 or early 2022.
