PUBG Lite Free to Play Beta Announced

After a quiet announcement PUBG Lite has gone live today in Tailand as an open beta, this version of the popular battle royale game is made to let low-end system or notebooks owners to experience the battle royale madness without problems.

In October last year the the developers had a closed beta test  in various countries in Asia and they’ve focus group test in many areas together. This process helped the developers to make the game more efficient and stable in all kinds of systems, And the developers promises that the gameplay can be played in a very modest hardware without compromises.

Minimum specification:

OS: Windows 7,8,10 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i3 2.4GHz

Ram: 4GB

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000

HDD: 4GB

Recommended specifications:

OS: Windows 7,8,10 64bit

CPU: Intel Core i5 2.8GHz

Ram: 8GB

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7870

HDD: 4GB

Of course, even those who have higher end machines can still play this lite version of PUBG. The trade-off at the moment is that this free version of the game only offers the ability to play the game’s first map (Erangel) and will only let you play third-person solo/duo/squads. That means you can’t access the first-person only servers and won’t be able to take advantage of the game’s rotating special modes.

It’s not all bad news, though. The developers have stated that they are interested in adding new maps and modes to the lite version of the game in the future, so there’s a chance that it might eventually offer much of the full PUBG experience. The team has also hinted that they might offer exclusive updates to the lite version. However, these might be limited to technical updates designed to accommodate lower-end PCs.
