Quantic Dream Next Titles Will Be Multi-Platform, According to David Cage

With NetEase buying-out a considerable amount of shares for Quantic Dream, the studio broke its 12-year-old deal with Sony and started to launch three last titles on PC as well. Now, David Cage, the director behind all Quantic Dream titles, announces that all the upcoming games from the company will be multi-platform.

Speaking to Dualshockers, David Cage revealed that after 12 years of working closely with Sony and developing PlayStation-exclusive games it was the right time to split up and say hello to a much bigger audience than before. Cage said:

Quantic Dream is not exclusive to any platform anymore. So yes, unless there are some specific exclusivity deals on a tile-by-title basis, all our games will be released on all platforms at launch.

After working exclusively with PlayStation for 12 years, we thought it was the right time for us to put our money where our mouth is.

Currently, the studios Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human all have been confirmed for PC, though the release date for the latest game is yet to be known. According to Cage, all the current PC ports have experienced heavy optimizations in order to prove the studios commitment to other platforms as well.

Since the launch of Detroit: Become Human in 2018, Quantic Dream hasn’t revealed anything on its next project.
