, the developer behind narrative-driven games such as Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, might develop a new Star Wars game. This is according to a new rumor suggesting that the developer has signed up with Disney after the studio made the decision to move to multiplatform development after being known as a PlayStation developer for many years.

The rumor surfaced when a French YouTuber, Gautoz, had reported the fact that the company had signed up with Disney. Like all rumors this is not proof that they have done so, however, Dualshockers has also reported that they have their own source making the same claim.
They claimed that their source “provided overwhelming evidence” proving that they had connections within Quantic Dream, before claiming that the Star Wars project has been the studio’s focus for the last 18 months. This source did not state just what was done during that 18 months, but rumors within the “French developer community” is that the game has only entered full production in the last several months.
While Quantic Dream has not given any official statement, Dualshocker reporter Tom Henderson tweeted out a tweet of the rumor, showcasing that the studio had liked a tweet of the rumor in question.
One Star Wars game we do know will be coming in the future is a full remake of Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic, the classic RPG originally developed by Bioware. This title will release as a time PlayStation exclusive. With Quantic Dreams being known for developing games for PlayStation it is possible this deal with Disney doesn’t preclude exclusivity, despite the company statements about plans to develop games multiplatform.
