Who could’ve thought that Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Siege reach such a huge success almost 4 years after its launch? if you take a look at its reviews at launch, R6 Siege doesn’t seem to be a long lasting game, but it happened thanks to the developer’s non-stop support and Ubisoft’s accurate roadmap to save the game and grow its players in number until the end of this generation and even transitioning it to next-gen consoles, which somehow has been confirmed by the team behind Siege.
All the efforts by Ubisoft has led Rainbow Six Siege to reach 50 million worldwide players across all platforms. This huge achievement celebrated by the game’s official Twitter account with a special teaser:
Originally launched in 2015, Rainbow Six Siege is now in its fourth stage and it seems the long-term support of the game wouldn’t stop anytime soon. The team behind Siege has recently announced that they have no idea for launching a sequel to the game in the near future but instead they are planning to release the current game on next-gen consoles with some quality-of-life improvements.
In other news, it was rumored recently that two operators from South America will be announced for Siege, while two leaked screenshots revealed that both characters are male. Although Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed anything about the new operators so far, but source of the rumor is trustworthy enough to make us believe it.
Rainbow Six Siege is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
