Red Dead Redemption 2 rumors hint at Battle Royale mode

According to a recent leak, it seems like Red Dead Redemption 2 will include some very interesting features, being one of them a battle royale mode. TrustedReviews  has reported that inside sources had provided them with documents back in August 2017. According to the website,  the content in those documents has been validated enough by official Rockstar.

“According to the notes, Red Dead Redemption 2’s online component will feature ‘Battle Royale’, ‘Revive and Survive’ and ‘Money Grab’ modes.

It remains unknown whether Battle Royale will operate in a similar fashion to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or Fortnite, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Rockstar hopes to capitalise on the popularity of those two titles.
Revive and Survive pits two teams against each other as they try and stay alive. You’ll have a limited amount of time to revive your teammates before they are eliminated.

Finally, Money Grab features two teams fighting to procure bags of money in a central location. You’re expected to collect and return them to your base as quickly as possible.”

The online aspect will allegedly operate like GTA Online with players able to explore freely in an open world, but will contain additional depth like NPCs that operate on day/night schedules. Instead of the modern apartments of GTA, players will be able to customize various tents that they’ll own and upgrade. Free events like treasure hunts and deathmatches can be organized by players as well, possibly even through a rumored companion app that’s planned to launch alongside the game.

Beyond the new game modes and open roaming, there will allegedly be a handful of new activities such as gold-mining, fishing, herding, and weapon challenges. And if that weren’t enough, Trusted Reviews reports that RDR2 will come with a companion app to let players socialize, and even play poker.

TR also reports that there will be new modes of transportation to get around the huge map (which includes familiar territories like Ridgewood and Armadillo). These vehicles include minecarts, handcarts and horse-drawn carriages, which will each have their own strengths and weaknesses such as speed or armor. More interestingly, the document obtained by Trusted Reviews hints at railway trains, complete with NPCs and dialogue, as a way for players to get around the map.
